WORKFLOX Services
Consulting, Not A Sales Funnel
Every dev shop will tell you to rebuild. We're not selling you a rebuild — we're telling you what's actually wrong, what's fine, and what it will cost to fix either way.
The Challenge
Our Approach
Use Cases
Pre-Investment Technical Due Diligence
Investors and acquirers bring us in to independently assess a target company's codebase, architecture, and engineering practices before closing a deal.
"Should We Rebuild?" Assessment
For teams convinced their legacy system needs a full rewrite, we assess whether targeted refactoring gets the same result for a fraction of the cost.
Performance & Scalability Audit
We profile a slow or struggling application under real load to identify the actual bottleneck — database, code, infrastructure, or architecture.
Code Quality & Security Audit
A structured review of code quality, test coverage, and common security gaps, delivered as a prioritized findings report.
Technology Stack Migration Advisory
For teams weighing a move off an aging framework or database, we compare real migration cost and risk against staying put.
Engineering Process & Team Review
We assess how an internal engineering team ships — code review practices, deployment pipeline, technical ownership — and flag where process is the real bottleneck, not the code.
Our Process
01
Discovery Call & Scoping
We define what's actually being evaluated — a codebase, an architecture, a vendor, or a full engineering org — before quoting a fixed price.
02
Codebase & Infrastructure Review
We review source code, infrastructure configuration, and monitoring data directly, not just documentation and diagrams.
03
Stakeholder Interviews
We talk to the engineers, product owners, and leadership who live with the system daily to separate real pain from perceived pain.
04
Findings & Risk Report
We deliver a prioritized written report ranking issues by business risk and cost of inaction, not just technical severity.
05
Roadmap Walkthrough
We walk your team or board through the findings live and answer follow-up questions until the recommendation is actionable.
Technology
We select the best tool for each job — not the most fashionable one. Every technology choice is justified by your performance, security, and maintainability requirements.
FAQ
How is software consulting different from hiring WORKFLOX to build something?
Consulting is a standalone engagement — we review, audit, and advise, with no obligation to hire us for implementation. Many clients do come back for the build once they have a clear scope, but the audit stands on its own.
Will you just tell us to rebuild everything so you can sell us a rebuild?
No. In roughly half our audits we recommend targeted refactoring or infrastructure changes over a full rebuild, because that's usually the cheaper, faster path — and we say so even when it means a smaller engagement for us.
How long does a technical audit take?
A standard architecture and code audit takes 1-3 weeks depending on codebase size. Technical due diligence for an active deal can be turned around in as little as 5 business days.
Do you need access to our production environment?
Read access to your codebase, infrastructure dashboards, and key metrics is usually enough. We don't need production write access or admin credentials to complete an audit.
How much does a software consulting engagement cost?
A focused architecture review or code audit typically runs $4,300–$11,000 depending on codebase size and depth. Technical due diligence for an M&A deal runs $8,600–$19,500. Ongoing technical advisory starts at $1,600/month.
Growing companies across Dubai, Riyadh, and the US increasingly reach a point where the system that got them to product-market fit starts working against them. WORKFLOX provides independent technical consulting for these teams — architecture reviews, code audits, and technology advisory delivered by engineers who also build production systems, not consultants who've never shipped one. Because we're not tied to a build engagement, our recommendations aren't shaped by what's most profitable for us to sell.
Internal engineering teams are rarely the right people to evaluate their own architecture — not because they lack skill, but because they lack distance. We've seen companies spend seven figures on a rebuild that a $6,500 audit would have shown was unnecessary, and others limp along on infrastructure that was quietly one bad launch away from falling over. An outside review catches both.
